HoneyBook's cheapest plan costs 81 percent more than it did in January 2025. So is it still worth it? Here are the real numbers, where HoneyBook still wins, and what to use instead. HoneyBook is built for people who book a client, send the paperwork, take a retainer, and deliver weeks later. Think photographers, planners, designers and coaches.
That's the flow it handles best. Even the cheapest plan is generous. Contracts, a client portal, HoneyBook AI, two lead forms, and a scheduler for one session type. Its template gallery and community are also far bigger than most newer tools have. It's easy to test: a 30-day free trial, then a 60-day money-back policy once you pay.
Here's the ladder on monthly billing. Starter is $36 a month. Essentials is $59. Premium is $129. Essentials is where it opens up.
The full scheduler, automations, QuickBooks, text reminders, and up to two team members. Premium is about scale: an unlimited team, multiple companies, and advanced reports. Pay yearly and it drops. Starter is $29 a month, Essentials $49, and Premium $109. Committing for a year saves $240 on Premium.
That's only worth it if you're sure you'll stay. And when we checked, HoneyBook showed a 25 percent off promotion on some plans. So compare the checkout price with the list price. The practical read: Starter covers the paperwork. Want automations or a teammate?
Budget $59 to $129 a month. Now the part most people search for: the price increase. We pulled HoneyBook's January 2025 pricing page from the Internet Archive. Billed yearly, Starter went from $16 a month to $29. Essentials, $32 to $49.
Premium, $66 to $109. Per year, that's $156 more on Starter, and $516 more on Premium. HoneyBook isn't alone. Entry plans today, monthly: Moxie is $12, Workspace369 is $29, Dubsado is $35, and HoneyBook is $36. Other numbers float around online.
If HoneyBook's pages don't confirm them, they're not here. Already on HoneyBook? Check your renewal date, ask what yearly would cost you, and compare the checkout price with the list price. Team limits. Starter lists no team members.
Essentials allows two. Premium is unlimited, at one flat price. And automations? On HoneyBook they start on Essentials, at $59 a month. New this year: HoneyBook's blog says two-way texting is rolling out.
Its pricing page showed no price for texting when we checked. If HoneyBook feels tight, look at Workspace369. It's one workspace for freelancers, consultants and small agencies, priced by seats. Being newer shows in the design. It's one clean, modern interface, the same on desktop, tablet and phone.
It starts before the proposal. A lead sends your intake form, it lands in Requests, and one click makes them a client. Start with the yes. A branded proposal goes out, the client opens the link, signs, and on Specialist, the deposit is paid on acceptance. The accepted proposal becomes an invoice.
The client opens the link and pays by card through your own Stripe account. Paid in full. On Voyager, at $74 for two seats, emails and texts land in one client thread, with an AI summary, and you reply by text. A lead calls while you're busy. You miss it, and they get an automatic text back.
Client texting goes to Workspace369, with a published price. Bill by the hour? Run a timer on the project, stop it, and bill the unbilled time straight to an invoice. Hourly billing: Workspace369 again. Every retainer runs as a project, with a budget and progress, and a task board underneath.
Finish a task, and progress updates. Projects and books together, with basic accounting on Specialist: Workspace369. And you can just ask. Type a question like who owes you money, it searches your workspace, and Workspace AI answers from your data. Automations come on every plan, even the $29 one.
An overdue invoice triggers a reminder, and it runs on its own. Automations from $29 instead of $59: Workspace369. The plans: Cadet, $29 for one seat. Voyager, $74 for two seats. Specialist, $149 for ten seats.
Commander, $299 for twenty seats. Picture a three-person studio: Voyager plus one extra seat is $84 a month. Now the other side: team price. HoneyBook Premium is $129 for an unlimited team. Workspace369 is $149 for up to ten.
For teams past ten people, HoneyBook wins on price. So here's the scorecard: four rounds to one. HoneyBook still wins on price for big teams. Stay on HoneyBook if you're a solo creative who mainly needs contracts and a scheduler, or your team is bigger than ten. Try Workspace369 if you bill by the hour, text clients all day, want automations on a starter plan, or want projects and books together.
Switching? There's no one-click HoneyBook import. You upload a CSV, AI maps the columns, and your clients are in. The checklist. Export your clients.
Save signed contracts and invoices. Settle open payment schedules. Connect Stripe and email. Run one real booking in the trial. And check your HoneyBook renewal date before you cancel.
Every price and source is in the description. Thanks for watching.
