PRICE-CHANGE LOG · UPDATED OCT 28, 2026

Client software price changes, 2026.
Dated and sourced.

The price and plan changes we verified on client-work software pricing pages in 2026, with the old and new price, billing basis, date seen and archived evidence.

THE SHORT ANSWER

Basecamp replaced its plans on October 20, 2026, between two archive copies taken at 13:07 and 18:35 UTC: Freelancer went from $25 to $29 a month and from 20 users to 5, the $59 Studio plan, which we treat as replaced by Pro, became $79 with a 10-user cap, and the top plan went from $299 to $199 a month billed annually ($329 billed monthly). Earlier in 2026, FreshBooks raised Lite from $21 to $23, Plus from $38 to $43 and Premium from $65 to $70 a month (between January 20 and February 2), and Harvest replaced Pro ($13.75 a seat billed monthly) with Teams from $11 (between January 4 and 24). 17hats did not change its list plan: it has sold one $60-a-month plan since at least April 2025. Its first-year "Save 50%" offer for skipping the trial has come and gone (shown in April 2025, hidden in the Oct 19, 2026 archive copy, shown again in our Oct 29, 2026 read) and is not a list-price change.

Verified changes

One row per change, newest first. "Seen" is the date we first recorded the new value on the vendor's page; the change itself can be earlier, and "When" in each entry gives how narrowly archived copies place it. Rows marked "first seen in our guides" changed before we started this log, so their date is when our guides first quoted the new value; for those, the archive window is the date to cite. Follow new rows in a feed reader: price-change RSS feed.

Basecamp: Freelancer plan

Basecamp: Middle plan: Studio became Pro

Both cards carry the same tagline, "A great place to start with room to grow", and sit in the same position, so we treat Pro as the replacement for Studio. Time tracking is excluded on both.

Basecamp: Upper plan: Pro became Pro Plus

Same price and tagline ("Just about everything for just about everyone"), with fewer active projects and a user cap. Time tracking is included on both.

Basecamp: Top plan: Unlimited became Pro Unlimited

Unlimited users and projects on both. The old FAQ called it "$300/month total"; the new FAQ says "$329/month total".

Basecamp: Free plan user cap

The Free plan is not new: it was on the page before this change too.

FreshBooks: Lite, Plus and Premium list prices

Prices are from the plan data each archived page renders from. Both copies also show a limited-time offer next to the list price; it is left out. Select is quoted on request in both. Team members stay $11 a month per user.

Harvest: Pro became Teams, with a lower starting seat price

The new cards say "starting from". By Oct 24, 2026 the page also says that additional invoices, projects, clients and tasks are "billed based on what you use"; that line is not on the Jan 24 copy, and we have not dated it more closely. The Free plan (1 seat, 2 projects) is the same on both copies. The Jan 4 table also had a projects row for the paid plans; the Jan 24 table no longer lists one. By Oct 24 the Free card no longer lists "Reporting basics", and Teams shows $108 a seat billed annually.

17hats: Plan lineup (our error, not a 17hats change)

The page code carries a hidden section headed "In-Depth Look at Each Level" and a hidden FAQ ("Which plan should I choose?") that names the old Essentials, Standard and Premier levels, in both the Apr 2025 and Oct 2026 archive copies. In our Oct 27, 2026 browser read, the visible text (237 words) shows only the one-plan offer and none of those names. What did change on 17hats’ side is an offer, not the plan: the Apr 29, 2025 copy shows "Save 50% on your first year" (a yearly plan for $300 or two years for $400), the Oct 19, 2026 copy keeps that text but hides it on the banner and the yearly and two-year buttons (a mobile-only monthly button still carries it), our Oct 27 read did not show it, and our Oct 29 read showed it again (on the yearly and two-year plans, when you skip the trial). Offers are not logged as price changes. Our guides quoted the hidden level section until Oct 27, 2026; they now quote only the visible one-plan offer.

Harvest: Premium became Enterprise; seat price hidden, then back at the Premium prices

Not counted as a price change: the seat prices went back to the Premium figures, now as starting prices under a new name. The Oct 24 copy also adds an Enterprise Plus tier with custom pricing.

Pipedrive: Projects add-on starting price

Not counted as a price change: the starting price returned to its September value, and the archived evidence is in Canadian dollars. Our own US-dollar reads showed $16.66 on Oct 18 and $16 on Oct 27; those reads are not published.

Corrections to our own pages

Not every difference we find is a vendor change. When the error was ours, it is listed here and not counted above.

Watched, not counted

Movements we saw but do not count as a price change, because the evidence is not strong enough or the price went back to an earlier value.
